The h2v2_smooth_downsample was chosen from the JPEG project for a couple of reasons. The DFG is interesting with 51 nodes and 52 edges. The final store call is dependent on all but two of the instructions. There is also a great deal of paralellism available. The smooth downsample was a good choice for benchmarking because of the fact that it is a core part of the jpeg compression algorithm.
