The administrative section of the Electrical and Computer Engineering
(ECE) department is located in Harold Frank Hall (formerly Engineering I). ECE faculty
offices and research labs are located in three buildings on campus -- Harold Frank Hall (HFH), Engineering
II (Eng. II) and the Engineering Science Building (ESB). These buildings are within walking distance of each other and house
some of the most advanced microelectronics, optoelectronics, VLSI
Design and CAD, and Controls and Communication research facilities. |

Additionally, several faculty members are affiliated with the California NanoSystems Institute (CNSI) which is one of the most advanced nanofabrication
facilities in the world. CNSI is located in Elings Hall and is within walking distance of HFH, Eng. II and ESB. |

The ECE Student Affairs Office is located within walking distance and west of Harold Frank Hall (HFH) in the ECE Student Affairs trailers. The undergraduate (Trailer 380, Rm 101) and graduate (Trailer 697, Rm 101) offices are open between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m and closed from noon to 1:00 p.m. Visitors are encouraged to make an appointment via e-mail at sao@ece.ucsb.edu. |

Visitors entering from Highway 101 South will enter campus via the East Entrance roundabout (formerly East Gate) and visitors entering from Highway 101 North will enter campus via Mesa Rd. For visitors with pre-paid parking permits, the Parking Lot 10 structure on Mesa Road is the most easily accessible parking for people visiting any of the College of Engineering buildings. From the airport terminal or rental car agencies, exit the parking
lot turning right on William Moffet Place. Turn left at the on ramp
to Highway 217 toward UCSB. Once you reach UCSB bear right at the east entrance roundabout onto Mesa Rd. If you have a pre-paid permit, take a left at the first light into the Parking
