to the EE Capstone Projects Page (click here to

There are a number of exciting EE Capstone projects
to choose from during the 2017-2018 academic year. Several of the projects are multidisciplinary
projects, in which an EE team will be paired with teams from ME and/or CE. Each project is sponsored either by a
research group at UCSB or by one of our industry partners. Each student group is made up of 3-5
students. While groups are independently
responsible for working on and completing their projects, each group is assigned
a mentor, typically from the group which is sponsoring the project, to provide
technical guidance and assistance.
Student groups work on their projects throughout the entire 2017-2018
academic year, and then present their work at the 2018 College of Engineering
Design Showcase on June 8, 2018.

Project Descriptions:
1.

Project: Automated Analysis

Notes: Open to a team of
3-5 ECE students. This project will rely on machine learning and image processing
techniques, students must take ECE 178 and/or ECE 181B (can be taken
concurrently with ECE 188).
