UCSB IEEE

The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) is an international organization devoted to technological advancements in the fields of electrical and computer engineering, computer science, and related branches of study. IEEE is the world’s largest technical professional organization in the world with over 365,000 members and 1,570 global chapters.

At UCSB, the IEEE student branch is dedicated to creating an environment where students can develop and apply their technical and social skills through group projects and informational meetings.

Meetings are held every Monday, this spring, at 6:00 PM in the EUCR, Trailer 698 across from Harold Frank Hall.

ECE 199 meetings are held every Tuesday, this spring, at 7:00 PM in LSB 1101.

IEEE is the only student run organization in the ECE department that has its very own lab. It is located one trailer over from the undergraduate conference room. It's in Trailer 699 and room 101, to be specific.

April 03, 2013

Meeting will be held on Mondays at 6:00 PM this spring quarter. The first meeting for the ECE 199 was held yesterday at 7pm in the EUCR. If you are interested and were not able to attend just stop by the lab (location above) and ask someone who is there. The meetings for 199 will be on Tuesdays at 7:00 PM in LSB 1101.

The IEEEmulator project is coming along as well as MicroMouse and Natcar. For more information on the projects or if you are interested come to a meeting or come by the lab.

November 26, 2012

IEEE has recovered from the Thanksgiving break and will be resuming normal operations beginning today. The next meeting is Tuesday, November 27th at 8:00 pm.

Thanks to Site Mao, the website has been updated with all the ECE 199 projects done with past Spring '12. You can find the pictures and info here or by using the navigation bar on the left side of the page. Site will be the webmaster for this upcoming year, so if you have any concerns or suggestions, redirect them his way.
