Masters degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of California,
Santa Barbara in 1989. He also received his BS in Electrical and Computer Engineering
at UC Santa Barbara in 1986. He has conducted research with subsurface radar since
joining the Bechtel Nevada/Special Technologies Laboratory (previously EG&G) in 1986.
He has been the principal investigator in the design and development of several ground penetrating
radars and been involved with extensive field tests. His present position is Senior

a session on “Radar Systems” at the Ninth International Conference on Ground Penetrating
Radar (GPR 2004), Delft, The Netherlands. His latest paper, "Advanced Signal Analysis
for Forensic Applications of Ground Penetrating Radar " was presented at GPR 2004.
He will also be a co-author on a new book: “GPR Theory and Applications” (to be published
