How to find your Ethernet address:
Windows 2000/XP
Go to the Start menu, click on Run. Enter "command".
On the command line type "ipconfig /all". Look for the
Physical Address of your Ethernet adapter.
Optionally you can go to the Start menu, click on Run.
Enter "winmsd", open Components, open Network, then click on Adapter.
Look for MAC Address.
Unix/Linux
Open a terminal window and type the command "ifconfig -a". Look
for the "HWaddr" information for your primary Ethernet device,
this is typically eth0.
Mac
Open the System Preferences.
Select "Network".
Select "Show: Built-in Ethernet".
Select "Ethernet".
The Ethernet ID is now visible.
