    Alexander Fang received his B.S. in Electrical Engineering with minors in Physics and Mathematics in 2003 from San Jose State University and his M.S. and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB) in 2005 and 2008, respectively. His dissertation was on "silicon evanescent lasers". His research interests are in the area of hybrid integration on silicon and photonic integrated circuits.
