6. Mid-term exam will be on Wednesday (Feb 6th), it will cover materials up to 1/25 and Lab 1. You are allowed bring one 8.5" by 11" equation sheet (both side).

1. TA office hours in the lab: Tue 10AM-12PM & Thur 2PM-4PM

2. We will spend ~30 min. in lecture today to introduce scattering parameters (s-parameters). Then, we will move to the lab for the orientation, which should be done in less than an hour. There are 3 items to be covered in the lab orientation:

Welcome to ECE 145A/218A!

1. Lecture room is changed from PHELP 1431 to ESB 1003 (Cooper's Lab). Time stays the same at 12:30-1:45 PM.

2. There is no lab session this week, but we will have lecture on Friday at 12:30-1:45 PM. (So, enough materials can be covered to let you start Lab 1 in the 2nd week)

3. Attached are the syllabus, course schedule, and notes for 1st week's lectures. Please read the syllabus, schedule and the notes for lecture 1 before class.

4. Next Monday (Jan 14) afternoon 2-3:30 PM, immediately following the lecture, we will have a lab orientation to demo how to use the network analyzer and go over the lab policy.
