Education
I'm currently a postdoctoral researcher in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at UC Santa Barbara. I completed my Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering at UCSB in December 2010, where I was advised by Professor Upamanyu Madhow. In 2005, I received my Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from UC San Diego.
Research Focus
My research interests lie in the general areas of digital communication and signal processing. I am currently investigating high-speed multi-antenna wireless systems operating in the millimeter-wave (e.g. 60 GHz) frequency range. The Millimeter-Wave MIMO project (summary available here) aims to achieve an order-of-magnitude increase in wireless data rates by applying spatial multiplexing techniques to millimeter-wave links.
