Kuo-Chin Lien received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Power Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering
from National Tsing Hua University, HsinChu, Taiwan in 2004 and 2006, respectively. He was a research and development
engineer for video surveillance at Vivotek and Vatics, Inc. from 2006 to 2010. He joined Academia Sinica as
a research assistant in 2010, and conducted research projects on video processing and analysis. He is currently a Ph.D.
student in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of California, Santa Barbara, USA. He serves as a reviewer
for the journal Neurocomputing and IEEE Signal Processing Letters.
