EVENT OVERVIEW
edx logo The Capstone Design Project program offers senior undergraduates in the College of Engineering the opportunity to work in teams to solve real-world problems over the course of their senior year at UCSB. Many of these projects are developed in collaboration with industry partners or UCSB research labs. At the Engineering Design Expo (EDx), student teams present and demo their final products and showcase their creativity and hard work. A panel of judges composed of Faculty and Industry Leaders evaluate the projects and select top teams for awards.

ENGINEERING DESIGN EXPO (EDx) EVENT DETAILS – FRIDAY, JUNE 8, 2018
2:00-4:00pm – Poster and Demo Session
Student teams from Electrical and Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Computer Engineering will be displaying posters and presenting final prototypes of their full year senior design projects. During this time, a panel of judges will be reviewing all the projects and selecting award winners. Attendees are all invited to explore the various projects, speak to the students, and enjoy some complementary refreshments.

4:00-5:00pm – Engineering Design Showcase

ABOUT THE CAPSTONE PROJECTS
The UCSB Engineering Capstone Program is a year-long, project-based course offered to fourth-year engineering students. The program focuses on the development of our students into professionals by pairing students with experts from industry and/or experts from academia to create an engineered solution for real and meaningful problems. In the spirit of UCSB’s collaborative culture, the program has grown to be truly multidisciplinary, tackling far-reaching problems across the disciplines of mechanical, electrical and computer engineering that have resulted in systems that exceed the abilities of a single department. We invite you to browse our projects and our talented students and to become involved in our mission of educating the future engineering leaders.

THE ECE 188 PROJECTS ARE VERY APPRECIATIVE OF OUR PARTNERS AND SUPPORTERS
