Prof. Klamkin has been invited to participate in a special symposium on “Advances in Integrated Microwave Photonics” at the Conference on Lasers and Electro-Optics (CLEO) to be held from May 13-18, 2018. The symposium “emphasizes on these recent advances in integrated microwave photonics and their application to emerging massive takeover applications. It seeks for transformative ideas about the future developments field and, at the same time, attempts to bridge dialogues between device-focused and application-driven approaches.” Other invited speakers include Richard DeSalvo, Harris Corporation, USA, Juerg Leuthold, ETH Zurich, Switzerland, Chris Roeloffzen, LioniX International, Netherlands, Xiaoxiao Xue, Tsinghua University, China, and Jianping Yao, University of Ottawa, Canada.
