Profile

Brandon is currently a graduate student in the Materials Department at UCSB. His bachelor’s degree is from the University of Kentucky where he majored in chemical engineering and physics. He spent his first two years at UCSB studying the effects of strong electron correlations in oxide thin films in the Molecular Beam Epitaxy Lab. He then joined the Integrated Photonics Lab (iPL) where he works on photodiodes for microwave photonics applications and photonic integrated circuits (PICs) for optical phased array lidar. His interests are in high performance device design and characterization.
