4/29/2021: My project with Prof. Francesco Bullo entitled "Resource Allocation in Complex Adversarial Environment" has been funded through the Air Force Office of Scientific Research.

4/15/2021: Bella Yue and Gilberto Diaz-Garcia will be joining my group at UCSB this coming Fall. I will co-advise Bella with Prof. Mahnoosh Alizadeh. Welcome to both of you.

4/15/2021: My student David Grimsman will be joining BYU as an Assistant Professor in the Computer Science Department. Congrats!

4/1/2021: My project "Strategic Mechanism Design for Multiagent Coordination" has been funded as part of the Distributed and Collaborative Intelligent Systems and Technology (DCIST) Collaborative Research Alliance.

9/20/2020: Our paper Tractable Mechanisms for Computing Near-Optimal Utility Functions was accepted to the 20th International Conference on Autonomous Agents and Multiagent Systems. Well deserved Dario and Rahul.

9/20/2020: Our paper Incentivizing efficient use of shared infrastructure: Optimal tolls in congestion game was accepted to the ACM Transactions on Economics and Computation. Congrats Rahul, Bryce, and Dario!

6/6/2020: Our paper Carrots or Sticks? The Effectiveness of Subsidies and Tolls in Congestion Games, was selected as a finalist for best student paper to the American Control Conference, 2020. Congrats Bryce!

6/1/2020: My project "Multiagent Systems: The Interplay Between Architecture and Performance" has been funded through the Air Force Office of Scientific Research.

5/1/2020: My project "A Theory for Allocating Autonomous Systems" has been funded through the Office of Naval Research.

11/01/2017: Our paper A Class of Distributed Adaptive Pricing Mechanisms for Societal Systems with Limited Information is a finalist for the best student paper at the IEEE Conference on Decision and Control, 2017, in Melbourne. The main contributors on the work were UCSB students Jorge Poveda and Philip N. Brown.

Job Market Candidates

Dr. Keith Paraporn:  Postdoctoral scholar is currently studying the role of information   in competitive resource allocation problem. Keith has some extremely interesting results pertaining to Colonel Blotto Games.  Keith will be on the job market in the coming 2021-22 academic year.
