My work at SCL includes efficient exploitation of long term correlation in audio signals to achieve unification of speech and audio coding, novel methodologies for scalable compression of multimedia signals at multiple quality levels, and optimization of prediction/transforms in video coding.
Before coming to UCSB I had a good long stint in the industry at Ittiam. As part of the audio team I was involved in audio codecs development, audio effects development, platform specific audio development and development process standardization.
During my undergrad I did my final year project with TI and Prof. Sumam David, developing the iLBC speech codec for the TI C55x DSP.

bottom line
