Hi! This is an undergraduate course on nonlinear dynamics (flows, bifurcations, chaos...), focusing on first- and second-order systems, and using Strogatz' excellent book on the subject.
(Preview the first two chapters at the link above...)

The PRIMARY course website is on Gauchospace, which requires you have UCSB login credentials... (Sorry! I wish I could open that site to the PUBLIC, but I cannot. And so, this page exists...) If you are enrolled in the class, be sure to go there to find up-to-date postings of assignments, solutions, and other files or announcements. This "mirror" site is primarily intended for prospective students or other curious individuals. Contact me via email if you have any questions about the materials here.

A course description and outline of topics can be found in the Syllabus.

Links to ANNOTATED LECTURE NOTES can be found here (last updated 11:35pm, 6/6/13): List of Lecture Notes.
